Heres some video of my stryker. Its got a stock Qd25 and its running an H50 prop. I havent started twisting the needles yet I am still sorting out the setup..

yeah but its a pig with the cowl.

You just have to fine tune it with the cowl on! I was just pointing out how noticeable a difference it makes running with the cowl on. Thus tuning with cowl off is worthless unless you will be racing it that way (as in SAW runs). I think you have a winning combo there, it just needs a little bit of tweaking... don't give up!

I driiled a small hole in the cowling so I can pass the antenna through. the glitch went away. It looks real good with the top but I think the boat runs better without. At least with my set up so far it does. Thanks for the help, Keep it comming I'm thirsty for knowlage.

Well, if you are looking for all out speed and not heat racing, then WITHOUT the cowl is the way to go...will run looser and gets much more cool air to the engine.
