I need a better exhaust coupler for my 56' Apache hull.I purchased some heater hose from NAPA auto parts,but it doesn't last very long and smoke starts coming from the hull after a few laps around the pond. What brand is the best for heat and last the longest? :?

Most gas boaters do not use couplers...pipe systems designed for gas are usually made entirely of steel, aluminum or stainless steel. I have seen guys use couplers on occasion though, and the only thing that will resist to the heat generated by gas engines is TEFLON couplers. I remember seeing Brian Watts using them, so check with them.

I have a CC racing 2 inch aluminum band pipe,which is not long enough to exit through the transom and there is a small gap between the end of the pipe and a piece of aluminum that was machined by CC racing.I will check rocketcityracing site.Thanks Marc!

OH ok, I see...then the 1/2" ID might be what you need...anyway they have 2 pages with couplers on RCR website...just make sure you go with the Teflon.
