Yea, an issue that for reasons of staying politically correct in not saying anything bad, was never mentioned.
Not that there is a quality or material issue, but RCMK has choose to use ones that are IMO too short !!
Replaced all mine with ZENOAH stock cylinder bolts.

Reattached with BLUE loc-tite :drinks:

Hi,
I could not agree more, listen to Scott. I replaced mine with stainless steel bolts of Zenoah length. You will not regret this move.

Thanks for the info...My boyfriend wants to get that motor for his hydro..so he will be replacing those bolts before running that motor..

Stainless is OK, but if you use the 18-8 stainless that you buy from your local hardware store or McMaster, they stretch and will come loose. If you insist on using stainless, use domething like heat treated 17-4. The only problem with 17-4 stainless is they will cost you about $5.00 or more each "if" you can find them. You are way better off to use the heat treated carbon steel bolts. Scott is right. Use the ones from Zenoah.
