Showboat

Captain Hook created the topic: Showboat

A lot of times when I run my boat, I have several kids and neighbors watching (neighborhood lake).
Most are impressed by the "roostertail".
I've seen jet-skis shoot water shoots, is there a simple way of duplicating that on my MGB?
It could draw someone to the sport, as stupid as that sounds!

Use a dual pickup rudder and only take water for cooling off one fitting, other will make a stream of water shoot straight up.
Or ... Just add a secondary water P-U and aim the outlet up ?

Explain what you mean by "water shoots". We're listening. :)

I often see jet-skis shooting a stream of water up in the air behind them. I'm sure there is some sort of "contraption" to do that, I haven't seen one, but it has to be pretty simple.

Just use a transom pickup bracket, with a peice of brass tubing extended straight up! The ones you see on the jet ski's are to give the operator a visual check,to see that the water pump is pumping. Ron
