hi i have a s254rmck in a 48inc mono running a one pice pipe and a 70.95 alloy prop and can only get the motor to rev out to 8000rpm max so just wondering if any one has any help with any suggestions on where to go

If you could post some pics of your set up it would help tremendously in diagnosing the problem. right off the bat, possibly strut is to deep getting to much bite on the prop. after that maybe because of the one piece exhaust ( haven't seen it so just guessing here) pipe may be to long.also what are your needle settings on the carb? Like I said if you could post a few pics it would really help.

Right off the bat my first guess is going to be Too Much Prop :?

Give us some pictures and details of the setup and I'm sure we can help you work it out. If you can take some video of it running also that would help even more.

hi i will try and get some photos soon the set up is a stretched 43 aeromarine deep vee to 48inc it is running a octor strut on a 50mm spacer out throw the transom the rest off set up is the same as a gen 3 insane we have tryed 3 differnt tipes of pipes and props sizes the mixture screws are 2 on high and 1.2 on low

Reverse the needle settings. Try 2 on low and 1 on high.

I had one of those pipes a few years ago. I actually made more power with a canister muffler than that wrap to center. The header was about an inch too long.
