I have the same problem with my nitro boats (the couple I have left) if gravity takes over and runs the fuel out of the tank, into the carb, the sleeve/crankcase, and draining out the exhaust. Most times it could be that the tank is higher than the motor, back pressure, a bad tank setup, or what ever. I usually clip the fuel line (close it off) until I'm ready to start it, and then I let a little fuel thru and then pinch off the line with my fingers while I start it. Otherwise - I have the same mess to clean up that you do, and starting is impossible with a flooded motor. Once the motor is running and the needle is set properly; mine run fine, I just have to remember to clamp off the fuel line when I bring the boat in. Gas is sooooo much easier!!!
