Loosening up a Crackerbox

mitchesx created the topic: Loosening up a Crackerbox

I have a Crackerbox that is running a bit wet (lots of spray coming off the sides)... I always forget this and go the wrong way, but moving the strut UP will loosen it up, right??? Already gave it some positive angle, it helped a little, but I still have spray, and I dont think the RPM is where it could be at top end. I'm running a Zipp Kits I Box, w/a modded 270 prop, and a modded Zen 260 with a clutch. Any pointers would be great.

My I-box ran very wet. It was ok in VERY rough water, but anything else and it was very sticky. I ended up putting bondo on the bottom and taking out most of the built in hook need the chines. If you run a long straight edge on the bottom, you should notice a slight hook at the keel and it gets more pronounced as you move toward the chines (outside edges). This has been changed drastically on the Z-box and the boat is much faster, at least those are my results. I am still testing the Z-box. My I-box is now very fast though, just a little bit of a challenge in the turns, but isn`t that what is supposed to be fun about Crackers!? :drinks:

To answer your question, yes, raising the should make the back of the boat ride deeper, thus pulling the nose up.
