Done them both ways for years, With the tech we have now in turn fins and props .... Make life easy and mount it on the right
Being hydros are RIGHT hand turners only, the little bit of LEFT turning ability a left side rudder has, is IMO outdone by the superior right hand turning a right side rudder gives :?

thankyou very much....now on I'll ask anything about gas on this site..On the other site I been getting some static about my boyfriends boat plus its mostly nitro boats on that site... He got ahold of a proboat 1/8 scale hull and he wants to race it in scale or sport class...He's doing everything to make it race legal.. He going to move the radio boat & motor adhead 3"...Thats what he was told by some Gas guys at Celina races to get a better CG in it..everything is all gutted out of it..

Iv mounted the rudders on the right and the left never noticed any difference in handling what so ever,so its personal choice. One advantage a left side rudder has is the servo is pulling rather than pushing so less chance of your long pushrods flexing.
