It was brought to our attention recently that in the early 80's, a line of Nitro boats using the name BOSS was successfully campaigned by Charles Perdue, Jack and Steve O'Donnell. The BOSS name is still in limited use by them today. This was not known to us when we selected the BOSS name for some of our boats.

In a mutual gentlemans agreement, out of respect for the hobby, Charles Perdue, Jack and Steve O'Donnell, Insane Boats has agreed to no longer use the BOSS name and/or theme in its products.

Insane Boats is currently working on a new name and theme to campaign its great products and we will announce it shortly.

I agree...nice of you to avoid conflicts by no longer using that name, BUT, I must say, there have been and still are many companies marketing their products under the "Boss" name and theme, can't see why you could not also. Ford used it, Ski-doo, even Dodge and many others in all fields of racing.

Just my 2 cents. I think it is a cool looking theme, hate to see it go. Who knows, maybe the next one will be even cooler! :drinks:

Just curious...Would you be willing to take suggestions from the public on a new theme to go with? People are really creative in this hobby and I would love to throw some ideas your way if you thought it might help.
