I personally believe the best route for Todd with his build with the GTX would be to run a single strut. While it does not keep as much scale looks - it will outperform other options available. I appreciate the plug of my drives. I have communicated with Todd several times on a previous project and consider him a friend. I have not approached him about running a single stern drive on the boat as I do not feel it optimal - I mentioned this in my post on RCU. A pair of stern drives (apart from being very heavy and expensive - $1600) is just more weight and less performance. Not needed (in my opinion) for an inline zenoah.
Randy - I was probably one of the first people to see most of your videos on Youtube. As a fellow sport boater I can appreciate the importance of doing something for the fun of it - and nothing more. I am impressed by your level of workmanship - certainly dont down play your capabilities - your on track to produce some great craft (just have to look beyond Verns hulls - I think they are limiting some of your own potential). I hope I did not come across as overly critical with my first post to this thread.
Regarding my Jolly Motors cat - I will message you directly as I have probably taken enough room in this thread from the topic at hand.
