I have this problem.....

I modifi one Zenoah G4LS (41.5cc.) (brushcutter machine ) for put into my RC Cat 42'

The frist thing I made it was to put the flyweel from a G26 PUM (smaller that the original)

In this point strat my BIG problems... I cant Find the EXACT POINT for the ignition. Actualy the engine runs whith 15° BDP but it heats a lot and don't work well.

Somebody can helpmee !!! saying me the original advance for this kind of engines ??

Here is a photograph of a Zenoah G231/260 PU ignition system.
*Keyway is TDC on a zenoah crank. So when setting up as you need it, the key way location at TDC is @ dead center between the coils lamination's.

Second post will show @ coil location when coil fires. It is just as the last magnet leaves the inside edge of the left side lamination :drinks:

OK.. now I´now wen the coil fires, But the cuestion is this Fire.. is at 15° 20° 25° 30° before TDC. ??

Using the key as TDC reference, system is running at @ 30* BTDC at 8000 rpm

Yesterday I take some pics of the engine, with te coil in the new position, you think like this will be fine?
(please note that the flywell is in inverted position whit a new key way)

... Your only using the zenoah flywheel and NOT the matching coils :? .... Your on your own there, no clue on if it will work or not.

Sorry, but most likely the Phelon coil your using runs on a twin magnet triggering system ( Check stock flywheel ), the Zenoah 3 magnet flywheel is not right for it most likely ???

And flywheel rotation is now reserved with it flipped over like you have it :dash:
