Guys,

Most of you know Duane Oldfield (2malibus). Duane is a fellow boater and great friend of mine. In the recent months, Duane and his family have went through some really rough emotional and financial times.

Duane’s brother was diagnosed with Brain cancer a few years back. After surgery and various rounds of treatment it was believed that all the Cancer was gone. Unfortunately it was not, and it came back. Duane’s brother is the only living family Duane has left and he has been doing everything he can to take care of his brother. Government financial (his brothers Social Security) help is suppose to be kicking in, but simply has not showed up yet. In the recent months his brother has had a second brain surgery and received several full brain radiation treatments.

Tim Martin and I would like to ask Model Gas Boats to help out a fellow boater and friend in a rough time. My paypal account is set up to receive all donations. Donations will be sent to Duane ASAP to try and help with the holidays. Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated including your thoughts and prayers.

Guys, I want to thank everyone that has contributed to this cause. There has been an overwhelming show of support for Duane.

I just got a phone call from Bill Domingue. He has told us that he is going to give us a brand new Piranha Full mod race motor for us to raffle off. I am going to start a new thread for this. Tim and I are going to discuss how they are going to do this before I post it. But please keep an eye out for a raffle.

Thanks again Marc for your support on this. WE are going to continue to take donations till Thursday Jan 7th. Hope to have the drawing for prizes on Sunday the 10th if we have everything collected.

Huge thanks to all that have contributed. This has turned it to something way more then I ever expected and its all because of the great people we have in this community. Everyone gave a little and in the end we have ALOT. That means alot to the family in these tough times.
