I know this isn't homemade, but I just saw this on Warehouse Hobbies and thought I should post it. It really is a hard to beat deal for a package containing basically all you need to power your boat projects. At $299 with engine,mounts, transom hardware, tank, radio box and prop, you really can't beat that for a starter project!!!

I took a look at the package and it looks like for $299.00 you get an ait cooled engine. Be careful.

This was a very old post guys. Engines and prices have changed since I originally posted this FTR. You can now get water cooled 260 and such for around $200 from several sources so this is something to consider.

One of the best things about this hobby is how many high quality distributors are selling every imaginable piece needed to build toy boats. With out these fine folks doing what they do, this past time would not be near as much fun as it is.
