The shutting down of Jim's probably came as a big surprise to a lot of people. It's probably hurting those the most that were in the middle of dealing in the for sale threads.
Over at RCU we've got members starting the same old stuff with innuendo placing the blame where it doesn't belong.
What went down to make Jim, Dom and Mike to close the doors for a cooling off period, I don't know but hopefully it will make a lot of members think first before posting. It is unforunate that the offenders weren't just banned.
Those on the other side that have to moderate or administer forum sites know what a job it really is, sometimes a thankless one at times. When I was doing it I felt like the cop that gave you a speeding ticket but later on was the one who came to your rescue when you had a problem.
It's certainly not easy to slap the hands of someone who is a grown-up adult as you expect someone your age or older to act like what they're supposed to be.
In the meantime, Jim has sat us all in the corner while many are having the DT's of not having his site as a refuge.

Dont hold it against me but I think it was kind of childish to take down the site. Its like the kid on the play ground taking his ball home because he aint winning the game. I think it is wrong to paint the situation with such a broad brush and take down the site. How about suspending the people involved in the argument rather then punnishing the people like me that had no idea anything crazy was going on. What are the people that paid for adds saying are they getting a credit on the days that the site is down?
